Rock Art in Los Velez

figura_losvelez_intThe region of Los Vélez is located north of the province of Almeria, at the crossroads of the lands of the South and Spanish Levante. The rock art has been declared Velez-the 5 December 1998- World Heritage Site by UNESCO within the Mediterranean Basin on the Iberian Peninsula. It is located in the municipalities of Maria and Velez Blanco. Velez are formed as a peripheral area in the location of Levantine art, as part of its southern border.
